Update your E-mail service - Svenska Domäner

Dear customer,

Svenska Domäner is changing their mail server!

You need to update the settings on your external email programs (eg. Outlook, Mac Mail, iPhone or similar devices) for you to be able to receive mail in your devices after 2015-08-31.

Svenska Domäner will shortly migrate all their customers to their new servers.

Are you needed to take action?

You are not needed to actively do anything if you are using our webmail, your service will continue working as usual.

If you are using external email clients programs (eg. Outlook, Mac Mail, iPhone or similar devices), it is important that you reconfigure these now so that the migration does not affect your mail usage.

The field system.domain99.com needs to be updated to mail.svenskadomaner.se
Server ports that ought to be used are as following:
Account type IMAP = server port 993
Account type POP3 = server port 995
Outgoing server (SMTP) = server port 465
Authentication: SSL + Password

8. Press "Save".

9. Select the account you just set.

11. Press "Advanced".

12. Fill in all fields:

SSL: Active(green)
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 993

13. Press "SMTP".

14. Press on the primary server.

Use SSL(green)
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 465

2. Mark "Add Other Mail Account…" before proceeding by pressing "Continue" button.

3. Fill in your name in the box next to "Full name" (The text written here is only what you wish to name your account)
Fill in the e-mail you wish to configure next to "Email Address".
Fill in the password chosen for the e-mail you are configuring.

4. Make sure that you have "IMAP" marked which is confirmed by the text being bluemarked.
Fill in mail.svenskadomaner.se under "Mail Server:".
Fill in the e-mail you are configuering next to "User Name".
Fill in the password chosen for the e-mail you are configuring.

5. Fill in mail.svenskadomaner.se under "SMTP Server:".
Fill in the e-mail you are configuering next to "User Name:".
Fill in the password chosen for the e-mail you are configuring.

6. Your account is now created, we do however need to edit a few more settings before you can get fully started. Press "Mail -> Preferences" in the top left corner.

7. Go thru your settings to make sure that you have not missed any letter or symbol. Press "Advanced" in the top right corner.

8. Un-tick the box "Automatically detect and maintain account settings".
Fill in "993" in the field next to "Port:".
Tick the box "Use SSL".
Make sure that "Authentication:" is set to "Password".
After filling in the above, press "Account Information".

9. Press the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) "mail.svenskadomaner.se"
Choose "Edit SMTP Server List"

10. Make sure that the Server Name is "mail.svenskadomaner.se".
Press "Advanced".

11. Un-tick the box "Automatically detect and maintain account settings".
Fill in "465" in the field next to "Port:".
Tick the box "Use SSL".
Make sure that "Authentication:" is set to "Password".
(!) Fill in your e-mail and password even though these fields may say "Optional".

Make sure that ”IMAP” is selected next to "Account type:".
Fill in mail.svenskadomaner.se under "Incoming mail server:".
Fill in mail.svenskadomaner.se under "Outgoing mail server (SMTP):".
Fill in the e-mail you are configuering next to "User Name:".
Fill in the password chosen for the e-mail you are configuring next to "Password:".
Press "More settings".

6. Check the box "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
Make sure the "Use same settings as the server for incoming mail" is checked.
Press on "Advanced".

7. Fill in "993" in the field next to "Incoming server (IMAP):".
Make sure that "SSL" is chosen under "Use the following type of encrypted connection:"
Fill in "465" in the field next to “Outgoing server (SMTP):”.
Make sure that "SSL" is chosen under "Use the following type of encrypted connection:"

8. Your e-mail address is now configured!
