What is Domain Account?

Domain Account is a free single domain DNS service package.

Who can use it?

It is available exclusively for Premium domains if there is no suitable service on a customer account that can handle DNS for that domain.

If a customer already has active multidomain service then provisioning of Domain Account is no longer available even for Premium domains.

This is because the system is forcing usage of multidomain service in order to enable conversion of Premium domain to Cheap.

What is included?

Domain Account service includes:

DNS record management;
Mail and Web redirection.

How to provision/connect?

In case you own Premium domain that is not connected with any service and you don't have any available multidomain service on your account, in order to manage DNS records for your domain at Svenska Domäner you have to connect it with free Domain Account.

How to connect?

Navigate to domain's main page.
If provisioning of free Domain account is available for given domain, an option will appear in the section Connected service on the page.

How to terminate/disconnect?

In case you own Premium domain, that is connected with free Domain Account and you have already bought a multidomain service, you can reconnect your domain from Domain Account to Multidomain service. By doing so, you can convert a Premium domain to Cheap domain and reduce the cost. But in order to setup DNS for the domain in another service, existing Domain Account must be terminated first.

How to disconnect?

Navigate to domain's main page.
If termination of free Domain account is available for given domain, an option will appear in the section Connected service on the domain's main page.
Make sure that DNS zone from existing Domain Account is backed up.
After connecting domain with another service (including new DNS zone for that domain) backed DNS records should be imported there.
